This Land is Our Land: Strengthening Environmental Justice in Local Communities Through Investigative Journalism
The project raises the visibility of local initiatives fighting against environmental destruction in Sisak, Gospić, and other communities. Through investigative articles, news reports, and video stories, we will monitor and convey local environmental issues and the struggle of communities for climate justice and human rights.
During field visits, we will support initiatives in their communication with the media and the public – helping them present their demands more clearly and reach decision-makers more effectively. We will also create a digital guide for local initiatives to facilitate their media appearances and public communication.
By fostering collaboration between journalists and local actors, we are building a model of civic reporting that strengthens public debate, encourages citizen participation, and delivers sustainable tools for environmental protection. The project is implemented until 30 June 2026.
